Lead Pastors – Ruth & Pedro Pires

Rev. Pedro Pires is married to Ruth Pires. They have a 15 year old son (André) and an 11 year old daughter (Linda). Pastor Pedro finished his training in theology in Lisbon, Portugal in 1986. He was the Executive Producer of Christian Radio and T.V. broadcastings. Carisma’s Lead Pastor was involved in evangelizing youth involved in drugs and crime related problems. He started his ministry in Lisbon, Portugal, where he established a prison ministry. He arrived in Canada in 1999 to pastor the former Portuguese Pentecostal Church of Edmonton. He founded the "Shamgar Rescue Ministries" - an Inner City outreach ministry.

Since Pastor Pedro’s arrival, the Church has been experiencing  great growth; both numerically and spiritually.

Under Pastor Pedro's leadership, Carisma Church planted several churches in  Angola, Africa. Rigth now, we have nine churches in Angola with almost two thousand members.
