church. As a part of the Christian Church in Edmonton, we worship God
with gladness and in awe for all He has done for us. Through the Lord
Jesus Christ we have found peace, joy and fullness of life. We are
honored to share our church with you through this website.If you happen to attend 'in person' you will be made welcome because we
believe that Jesus was welcoming to all sorts of people and He is our
Lord and our example. There is a full program of activities, for all
ages, throughout the week.Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches are known for their exuberant praise
and the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Both of which are a part
of our normal worship. You may be unused to this, but we trust you will
be able see beyond our differences from other evangelical churches and
join in our rejoicing. We hope that you will come and visit us 'in person' and bring a friend.

Rev. Pedro Pires is married to Ruth Pires. They have a 15 year old son (André) and an 11 year old daughter (Linda). Pastor Pedro finished his training in theology in Lisbon, Portugal in 1986. He was the Executive Producer of Christian Radio and T.V. broadcastings. Carisma’s Lead Pastor was involved in evangelizing youth involved in drugs and crime related problems. He started his ministry in Lisbon, Portugal, where he established a prison ministry. He arrived in Canada in 1999 to pastor the former Portuguese Pentecostal Church of Edmonton. He founded the "Shamgar Rescue Ministries" - an Inner City outreach ministry. Since Pastor Pedro’s arrival, the Church has been experiencing great growth; both numerically and spiritually. Under Pastor Pedro's leadership, Carisma Church planted several churches in Angola, Africa. Rigth now, we have nine churches in Angola with almost two thousand members.
